From Morocco to the World: The Birth of Wanderloving Travel
Hi, I’m Zani McPherson—founder, cultural cartographer, and perpetual seeker of meaningful connection through travel.
Wanderloving Travel was officially born in May 2025, but its roots go much deeper. You could say it began with a life shaped by movement: growing up between cultures, wandering through multiple consecutive passport renewals, and mapping the world in stories rather than borders. But it was a soul-stirring journey I curated to Morocco in 2023—originally as part of a passion project called Journey Beyond Destination—that truly lit the spark. What began as a small group trip turned into something far more powerful: a tapestry of connection, joy, laughter, and moments so rich they’re still being talked about today.
That experience confirmed what I’ve long felt in my bones: travel, when done right, has the power to transform—not just us as travelers, but the communities we meet and the cultures we seek to understand.
Wanderloving Travel is built on this belief. I create and curate journeys that are ethically grounded, deeply immersive, and lovingly designed with sustainability, inclusivity, and cultural respect from the very first step. Some are designed and led by me personally. Others are in trusted hands, values-aligned local partners who share this same dedication to transformative, regenerative travel.
As someone who’s lived across countries and languages, I see travel not as escapism, but as a way of coming home to the world. I’ve walked beside women preserving ancestral traditions in the High Atlas, danced under southern skies, shared meals in rural kitchens, and learned—again and again that the heart of every journey is human connection.
This work is always evolving. Not every destination or partner is perfect yet—and that’s okay. Progress, not perfection, is how we build a more conscious travel future. We Aim to Give Back
And we’re not stopping there. We’re laying the groundwork for our own charitable association, dedicated to raising funds for travel grants that give under-resourced individuals the chance to experience the transformative adventures we create. For us, “travel for all” isn’t just a phrase; it’s a promise to help turn dreams into reality and share the life-changing magic of adventure with those who need it most
